There’s probably no need to tell you about the benefits of cleaning your coffee machines regularly—that first fresh cup of coffee says it all. You can bet that dried leftover sludge from yesterday can’t be good for you.
A good daily wipe down could prevent build-up from forming, preventing blockages and ensuring the smooth running of your coffee machine.
Here’s a few tips:
- Drip tray: It’s best to empty this daily to prevent build-up or if you have a red indicator, as soon as the red indicator pops up through the tray.
- Coffee grounds container: Empty the coffee grounds container frequently and give it a good wash weekly to prevent mould.
- Water tank: If your machine has a removable tank, clean and rinse it weekly with tap water
- Weekly cleaning: Rinse the machine’s brew group with lukewarm water
- Product dispensers: Keep these topped up every few days and once opened we recommend keeping un-used products in airtight containers and stored in a dry place.
